Vikram, along with the select members of the cast and crew of his forthcoming film "Thaandavam", will leave for the United States to shoot some crucial scenes and song sequences of the film, which is said to be an action thriller.

'Recently, director Vijay was in the US to zero in on locations. Now that the work is over, he is expected to start the shooting schedule soon,' sources in the know say.

With Vikram playing a 'never before' role, the film produced by UTV Motion Pictures has Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson as female leads. G V Prakash Kumar is the music composer, while cinematography is by Nirav Shah.

Says Vijay, 'Thaandavam will be a stylish action entertainer and will be a totally different treat to the audience of Tamil cinema. We are taking every effort to ensure that the film gets nothing the best in terms of technology.'
