Actor Vimal has struggled for years and finally made it big in Kollywood with his debut movie'Pasanga' and his next movie'Kalavani' has also become a hit. The actor however had the worst time with his previous release'Thoonga Nagaram' flunking at the box-office.

It seems that the actor listened to nearly 50 scripts in the past three months. Finally, he was impressed with the script narrated by newcomer Amudhan Suresh… He had earlier worked as assistant director for Shakthi Chidambaram and Rasu Madhuravan.  Right now, Vimal is busy shooting for the film'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' and will kick-start shooting for this film only after the completion. The film is expected to be a romantic comedy based on the lines of'Kalavani'. The heroine for the film and rest of the star-cast are yet to be finalized.
