Lingusamy's 'Vettai' started rolling a couple of months back, in Karaikkudi. The first schedule had the lead actors with 2000 junior artists being a part of a song sequence. Later, the second schedule commenced in Pondicherry but the team couldn't bear the summer heat and that made Lingusamy change his plans. All outdoor shoos have been cancelled.

The shooting is now on in Lingusamy's house. Meanwhile, Madhavan has been flying down to various parts of the globe for his other projects.

'Vettai' features Arya, Madhavan, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy in lead roles. For the first time, Madhavan plays the role of a police officer. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music and Nirav Shah is handling cinematography.
