Vimal made his debut with the film'Pasanga' that gave him rave reviews and he was declared a hit. Vimal is now set to get married for the fourth time. Basking in the success of'Kazhavani', Vimal married his lover Priyadarshini while shooting for the film'Ethan'. Priyadarshini who is a relative of Vimal, was studying MBBS. Her parents were against her love and so they decided to get her married to someone else. On account of this, Vimal urgently married her in a temple in Kumbakonam and got their marriage registered in the registrar office there.

Vimal was slightly disappointed because their marriage did not take place in the presence of their parents and his friends. In order to make Vimal happy, Kamala theatre owner, Chidambaram conducted Vimal's marriage for a second time in the presence of his fans and audience. Similarly S P Muthuraman conducted Vimal's marriage for the third time. Now Vimal is gearing up to tie the nuptial knot for the fourth time…but with the same girl!
