Vinayaka Geleyara Galaga Is Still At Dubbing Room

September 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Lyricist turned director Dr V Nagendra Prasad expected to release his directorial venture Kannada movie 'Vinayaka Gelayara Balaga' during this Ganesha festival. However, this could not be done as the period cinema is still at the dubbing recording room in Vijayanagara's Ashwini Recording studio.

Dr V Nagendra Prasad has tried to give a feel of 1985 to the audience and that's why he shot in small lanes in Doddaballapura. He wanted to create the Bangalore 25 years ago. The story of the youths organizing the Ganesha festival in the roads, who get involved in unruly activities, is shown in this movie.

The director said that it is based on a real life story. The entire shooting of the film is done with the steady camera, which is handled by cameraman Safety Prakash, brother of Anaji Nagaraj. Prakash has kept the steady cam on his shoulders throughout the movie to capture the scenes.

Dr V Nagendra Prasad is satisfied that they could manage to gather more than 5000 people for the Ganesha festival shoot and they also immersed 101 Ganesha idols.

The lead roles in the movie are played by the actors like Meghana, Vijaya Raghavendra, Munish, Naveen Krishna, Gururaja Hoskote, Pratap, Shobaraj, Gurudut and Punga. The film has music by V Harikrishna.

'Vinayaka Geleyara Balaga' is gearing up for a grand release in October.
