(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Stone danced with Viola Davis' new daughter at her baby shower.

Viola and her husband Julius Tennon recently adopted a 14-month-old girl called Genesis. The actress' friends and family threw her a party to celebrate the new addition to her family over the weekend.

Emma co-stars with Viola in The Help and was delighted to attend the festivities.

She took Genesis for a spin on the dancefloor and was amazed by how easy-going the tot was. "That is my kind of kid," she laughed.

Actress Allison Janney was also in attendance and revealed Genesis loved being the centre of attention.

"[She's the] most adorable little girl," Allison explained. "She didn't cry once the whole baby shower. She was so happy."

The actress added she splashed out on several presents for the family. Among them were a pair of booties, and a special card for Julius.

"[It] says, 'I recommend vodka' on the card," she laughed to E! Online. "That man has been a father before and has grown kids, so now he's starting over. He's the sweetest man on the planet and they're the nicest couple."

Octavia Spencer was also thrilled to be invited to the baby shower. She had fun chatting to the other guests and thinks the rocking chair she presented Viola with went down well.

"Viola Davis deserves all of the happiness that the Good Lord could bestow on her," Octavia said. "She and Julius are two of the best people I know, so to know that this is something that she's always wanted and she has it now, it makes me thrilled for her."

Allison and Octavia also appear in The Help. (C) Cover Media
