'Naangu Murai' is a film directed by Ramki. New faces are in the lead roles. Vivek who is donning the comedian's role said, "I have acted with Ramki in many films. Now I am acting in a film directed by him. I am donning the role of a thief who robs in various get ups. If I don the role of a self-made God man, it might look like that I am pinpointing someone here. Hence I have donned the role of a Chinese monk. I will use lots of Chinese words. Now I am acting in the Tamil films 'Om', 'Killadi' and 'Prabhakaran'. I am also acting in a Malayalam film. I don't know Malayalam."
