Vivek Oberoi to play the lead in Ram Gopal Varma's next

Known for making controversial films, Ram Gopal Varma is set to make a new biographical film on the life of don Muthappa Rai. Earlier it was South star Sudeep, who was considered to play the male lead but now RGV has changed his mind and Vivek Oberoi has been roped in to play the lead role.

Ram Gopal Varma confirmed the news by tweeting, "Initially "RAI"was planned with Sudeep ..but for various reasons I am going ahead with Vivek." 

He also tweeted,"The biggest gangsters Pablo Escobar,Dawood Ibrahim,Al Capone etc are nothing in comparison to the drama of "Rai."

The actor and the director have previously worked in films like 'Company', 'Darna Mana Hai' and 'Rakht Charitra' to name a few. The film will be made in four languages- Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and will be shot on various locations like Mumbai, Dubai, London, Bangalore and Mangalore.
