Watch the making of 'Sehmat' from Raazi

Alia Bhatt's role in Meghna Gulzar directed 'Raazi' is of an innocent girl turned Spy. Sooner or later she becomes an extended arm for the Indian intelligence when Pakistan was planning to attack INS Virat in 1971. Alia's preparation of getting under the skin of a Muslim girl turned spy and her extensive training and hard work have her in the film for all the right reason.

She does ever tough task right away from mugging the morse codes, driving a Jonga or shooting like a pro. Her anticipation of rehearsing the action scenes time after time until she gets perfect. Director Meghna talks about how Alia took the role way beyond seriousness and learned the technique of transmission of codes, mugging Morse Code, weapons and Jonga.

Raazi is a story of an Indian Kashmiri woman, who is married to a Pakistani Army Officer. The period thriller based on the backdrop of 1971 war. Alia will be playing the role of Sehmat working for the Indian intelligence spying on her husband, played by Vicky Kaushal.

Starring Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shishir Sharma and Rajit Kapoor, among others, Raazi will release on May 11. The film is backed by Junglee Pictures and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
