Ekta Kapoor, who is very well known as a television serial producer turns 37 today. She is the daughter of Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor and also the actor Tusshar Kapoor's sister.

Ekta was in Bombay Scottish High School, Mahim and later she attended Mithibai College. The most popular soap operas on television that she has produced are 'Hum Paanch' 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii', 'Kasautii Zindagi Ki', 'Kahin To Hoga' and many more.

She later started producing Bollywood movies which started off with 'Kyo Kii...Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta', 'Kucch To Hai' and 'Krishna Cottage'. The movie 'Kya Kool Hai Hum' starring her brother Tusshar Kapoor was a major hit and went on to become one of the highest earners.

Her other movies include 'Shootout At Lokhanwala', 'Mission Instanbul' and 'EMI - Liya Toh Chukana Padega'. The years 2010 and 2011 was a great success for her when she introduced the movies 'Love, Sex Aur Dhoka', 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai', 'Shor In The City', 'Ragini MMS' and 'The Dirty Picture'.

With so much of talent from television serials to Bollywood movies, Ekta Kapoor has definitely carved a name of success throughout the media world.
