Whitney Houston's daughter feeling better'

15th February 2012

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina is "doing much better" since her mother's passing.

The 18-year-old has struggled to cope after Whitney was found dead in the bathroom of the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday. She has been hospitalised for exhaustion twice in a 12-hour span following news of her mother's shocking death.

Bobbi's father and Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown has provided an update on his daughter's condition, revealing that she is feeling better following the harrowing news.

"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," he said in a statement. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye.

"I ask again that our privacy be respected."

Meanwhile, Bobby's spokesperson has appeared to deny rumours that the singer will be banned from Whitney's funeral on Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.

"Any report or statement that does not originate from my office about Bobby Brown or his representatives is not authorised by Bobby Brown. We cannot focus on gossip at this difficult time," the star's spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.

Whitney and Bobby were married for almost 15 years, before they eventually divorced in 2007. Their tumultuous union has been blamed by many for Whitney's drug abuse and fall from grace.
