December 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Is television serial Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki nearing its end? This is the question doing the rounds for quite some time now. According to the industry buzz, the serial will come to an end later this month. However, the report has not been confirmed by the producers of one of Indias longest running television shows. Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki has been running on the Sahara One TV network for a span of more than five years now and it is probably time to bid the serial goodbye.
According to reports circulating in the media, the Sahara One channel has roped in a different soap to replace Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki at the primetime television slot every day of the week. The serial was aired every weekday at 9 in the night, a slot which is considered as one of the most important in the Indian television industry. Hence it can be said that Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki has been experiencing a fall in TRPs and is capturing lesser number of eyeballs than it did over the span of five years.
Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki tells the story of Rani, the protagonist, who is born to a rich house but gets married into a poor house. The serial is all about what is written in her destiny and the incidents that follow after her marriage. Over five years, the serial has experienced many a time leap, but Reena Kapoor, the lead actress has always been the protagonist as she becomes Pari, the daughter of Rani who looks exactly like her mother.
Five years of airing time is a big achievement for any television serial and it is to be seen whether Sahara One really does away with Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki.
