28th June 2018

We all know Suniel Shetty as an actor with his films like 'Hera Pheri', 'Dhadkan', 'Barood', 'Rudraksha' and a lot more. Although what we don't know is that 18 years ago from now Suniel stepped in the shoes of a singer and recorded his first ever song for a kids' rhyme album, 'Jantar Mantar'.

Recently, Suniel shot for a radio jingle in which he is rapping few verses. Speaking about this Shetty stated "It's a jingle for a radio channel that will launch soon. I enjoyed singing and rapping for it. The song goes like this: Bollywood Kollywood Tollywood Mollywood… Listen… Indian Film Ke Chahne Wale Hum Hain Showbiz India Wale." The actor stated that he rehearsed extensively before recording the number.

Shetty further said, "I am bad at singing and have no sense of rhythm. But the music directors, Raj and Shabbir, forced me to sing. I went ahead  because I wanted to try something different and new".

On being asked if he will continue singing Suniel giggled and said, "If I get stoned after this attempt, you won't hear me sing ever. But if people think I can sing, I might give it a shot again. My wife Mana, and children Athiya and Ahaan, loved it."

The actor was last seen in 'A Gentleman'.
