10th April 2017

While Vidya Balan's 'Begum Jaan' is garnering appreciations from every nook and corner, the music is another aspect which is applauded by the masses. Soul stirring songs and quintessential music is winning the heart of the music lovers. After many such meaningful song, the most magical song has made its way, titled as 'Woh Subah' the song is penned by popular poet Sahir Ludhianvi.

The song is an adaptation of the track from 1958 film 'Phir Subah Hogi' starring Raj Kapoor and Mala Sinha. While Sahir Saab has felt the pain of partition, the lyrics of the song play an important part in the process. The song exactly catches the essence of the same and delivers the pain. Some stanzas also depict that nowadays there is no value to human life and wealth is the only thing which is valued. The song also says that you have to be your own light as there is no one with you to walk into darkness, though the sun is with you it leaves you in darkness once it sets and this is when you realize that your eternal light stays with you forever and nothing else.

Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh give the mesmerising experience of a lifetime by crooning this song. And every emotion is depicted so skilfully and aesthetically that it is definitely one of the soulful numbers that has been created from ages.

'Begum Jaan' starring Vidya Balan and many others in the lead releases in theatres on April 14, 2017.
