(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Zac Efron reportedly background checks the people he parties with.

The Hollywood hunk and his good friend Kellan Lutz have apparently gained a reputation for throwing the best parties in Los Angeles. Stars including Lindsay Lohan and Rumer Willis are among those to have attended, although Zac won't give just anyone an invite.

"There are always more girls than guys and they're usually hanging all over Zac," an insider told National Enquirer. "Zac gets background checks on anyone who makes the party list."

The 24-year-old star reportedly makes sure he knows every person attending the soirees. He personally approves the entire list, but once that is done the fun begins.

Zac is often seen talking to ladies at the event, causing one source to joke he has an unusual idol.

"It's like he's trying to become the next Hugh Hefner," the source laughed. (C) Cover Media
