(Cover) - EN Movies - Zach Galifianakis has praised director Todd Phillips for his fearlessness.
The 41-year-old actor portrayed kooky character Alan in Todd's 2009 comedy smash The Hangover, and reprised the role for The Hangover Part II which he is currently promoting.
The sequel, which follows on from a wild bachelor party in Las Vegas, sees characters Phil, Stu, Alan, and Doug fly to Thailand for Stu's wedding with crazy consequences.
Zach thinks audiences may find some of the more risqu scenes shocking, but appreciates the way Todd doesn't fear the reactions of viewers.
"With a good filmmaker such as Todd, he's leading the audience, he's not catering to the audience and I think that's important," he told the BBC.
One member of The Hangover Part II who has been receiving a great deal of attention is Crystal, a capuchin monkey. Zach teased that the animal may end up receiving a "Chimpy award", while his co-star Ed Helms - who plays Stu in the movie - joked that he had been a past recipient of the fictional prize.
"I won it three years running," he laughed. (C) Cover Media
