John Abraham has earned critical acclaim already for his acting prowess and bringing an unheard success story of Indiabeing declared as an atomic power through 'Parmanu: the Story of Pokhran'. Interestingly, after killing dozens of cops in his Independence Day release 'Satyameva Jayate' also turned out to be a super hit as well.
Now John is set to play a cop himself in his next. A cop that killed two terrorists from the Batla House encounter held in Delhi's Jamia Nagar locality in September 2008. Abraham has got a completely fresh look this time sporting the uniform with a fierce expression on his face and many badges around to make him a no-nonsense cop.
John captioned the poster, "95 mins that took 8yrs to be resolved and changed his life forever, the story of India's most Decorated/Controversial Cop. #BatlaHouse"
This would be John's third film with Advani, and they've earlier worked together on films such as 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and 'Satyameva Jayate'.
It was way back in July when Nikkhil announced John's association with the film with a tweet, "An association that began way back in 2005. I am so thrilled to be collaborating with Ritesh Shah (film's writer) once again after D-Day and Airlift. We have worked for three years on this story and are so happy to have John Abraham help us tell it."
Inspired by true events, 'Batla House' starring John Abraham in the lead is slated to release on 15th August 2019 and will clash with Rajkummar Rao's 'Made in China' as well as Ayan Mukerji's fantasy adventure 'Brahmastra'.
