'Sui Dhaaga' rakes 20.55 cr in first two days of release

Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made in India released on 28th September went to a good start at the box-office. Supporting PM Narendra Modi's Make in India initiative, the film earned mixed reviews from the audiences as well as critic, but more importantly performed well at the box office.

On Friday, the first day of its release this Sharat Kataria directorial raked 8.30 crore. While on its second day it garnered 12.25 crore; making its box-office collection of the first two days 20.55 cr. With a rise of upto 25% in the collection however, official figures are awaited. Trade experts suggest that the film would rake 15 cr + on Sunday making its opening weekend box-office collection to 35 cr.   

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#SuiDhaaga zooms upwards on Day 2... Catches speed at metros and mass belt... The target audience [families] have taken to the film, thus converting into increased footfalls... Expect a SOLID Day 3... Fri 8.30 cr, Sat 12.25 cr. Total: ₹ 20.55 cr [2500 screens]. India biz." 

As mentioned earlier, the evening shows on Day 4 Monday should witness a slow decline as a regular weekday while Tuesday is a huge bonus for the film - due to national holiday on Gandhi Jayanti which might help the film earn big bucks.
