(Cover) - EN Showbiz - New mom Jessica Simpson has thrown herself into planning her wedding and has chosen a date.

The singer-turned-fashion designer only gave birth to her daughter Maxwell a few weeks ago, but she is already said to be thinking about tying the knot with her fianc Eric Johnson.

Jessica and Eric have been engaged since November 2010 and there were reports they wanted to wed on November 11 last year. However, they decided to wait until the arrival of their first baby and have settled on another date.

Life & Style reports that Jessica will get married on December 12 2012. The publication claims the pair have decided on a low-key beachside ceremony.

"Jessica and Eric are eyeing the Hawaiian island of Kauai for the reception for around 60 family and friends," a source revealed.

Along with her wedding, the 31-year-old beauty also has another big occasion to plan for.

"Jessica is busy planning two very important events - Maxwell's baptism and her wedding to Eric," the source added.

She is believed to have hired celebrity party planner Mindy Weiss for both bashes.

They worked together on Jessica's baby shower and Mindy also organised Jessica's wedding to Nick Lachey in 2002. (C) Cover Media
