John Abraham's 'Parmanu' to release on April 6

5th February 2018

John Abraham's Parmanu- The story of Pokhran has finally bagged a release date as it is now shifted from March 2 to April 6, probably to avoid a box-office clash with Anushka Sharma starrer horror film 'Pari' which now gets a solo release on March 2. The Abhishek Sharma directed film has shifted its release date for the fourth time now as earlier it was slated to release on 15th December 2017 as the following release date was shifted to February 9 in order to avoid clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat' that earlier marked its release date set to hit silver screen on December 1. After Padmaavat bagged a January 25 release date, Parmanu was again shifted to March 2. Now the makers have come to a conclusion and decided to release the film on April 6.

John Abraham took it to twitter and tweeted the official poster of the film which has the new release date. He captioned the poster as,"The countdown to the mission begins!!! #ParmanuThisApril - 06.04.18." Helmed by Abhishek Sharma, Parmanu features Boman Irani, Diana Penty along with John Abraham.

The story of the film is based on the nuclear tests conducted at Pokhran in May 1998. Speaking about the subject of Parmanu, John had said earlier: "Nuclear power is never always used for negative purposes and that's what we have shown in our film. There was a no first use policy and it's quite an intriguing subject and interesting film, and we are very proud to be a part of it."
