CBFC suggests 3 cuts in 'De De Pyaar De' 2 days before release

16th May 2019

Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh starrer 'De De Pyaar De' is just 2 days away from its release. However, Central Board of Film Certification suggesting 3 cuts in the movie, has left the makers baffled. The movie has received a U/A certification, post which they were asked to make the following changes.

Rakul Preet holding an alcohol bottle in the song 'Vaadi Sharaban' is replaced with a bouquet of flowers.

Second is the deletion of dialogue "performance better hoti hai" and last alteration includes a visual as well as audio (dialogue)- "Manju ji ke aalu O ho ho …wahi ache hain.." and "ki yeh sab jhoot hain."

The movie had already landed in controversy due to Alok Nath's presence in it. The actor was accused in the MeToo campaign for sexual harassment to Vinta Nanda 19 years ago. Lead Ajay was questioned on this on several occasions.

Hopefully deletion of these dialogues doesn't take away the maximum fun quotient of the movie. 'De De Pyaar De' releases on May 17, 2019.
