Nafisa Ali of 'Junoon' (1978) and 'Major Saab'(1998) is diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. The veteran actress announced the news via her Instagram handle sharing a still with Sonia Gandhi as she captioned it, "Just met my precious friend who wished me luck & to get well from my just diagnosed stage 3 cancer."

Recently, The 61-year old made an appearance in Tigmanshu Dhulia's gangster drama 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3' in which she had a cameo. Nafisa is from West Bengal and she is married to the Arjuna Award winner Colonel RS Sodhi. The couple has three children, two daughters Armana and Pia and one son Ajit. The fact to appreciate about the veteran actress is how casually she announced this tragic news with a smile on her face.

This year has been all about bad news from the Bollywood fraternity. First, it was Irrfan Khan diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine tumour followed by actress Sonali Bendre diagnosed with metastatic cancer. 'Andhadhun' and 'Badhaai Ho' fame Ayushmann Khurrana's wife Tahira Kashyap also shared the news that she was diagnosed with a stage zero breast cancer and now it is Nafisa Ali.
