Taapsee Pannu, who currently shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in 'Pink' is ready with her next Bollywood film titled 'Naam Shabana' which is a prequel to the Akshay Kumar starrer 'Baby.'
Taapsee posted a picture of a clapboard on her twitter handle and captioned it as, "Another adventurous journey begins.... #NaamShabana my first ever title role. Get ready for some serious action 👊🏼."
Akshay shared the same photo on his twitter and captioned it as, "A unique attempt, for the very 1st time in Indian cinema.Get ready 2 be surprised, #NaamShabana coming ur way next yr."
The film will showcase the journey of Taapsee as she played an undercover officer Shabana Kaif in the film 'Baby.' Remember her hard core action sequences as she slays the attacker even before Akshay's arrival.
Well keeping this thing in mind, the makers must have come to a conclusion to make a prequel to the film and highlight Taapsee's character.
When speaking to a leading daily, Taapsee was quoted saying, "I play the titular role in this action thriller and I am undergoing training in martial arts to prepare for the action scenes. The film has been named Naam Shabana because we are linking it to Baby, and my undercover name in Baby was Shabana Kaif."
