(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Kitsch believes that remaining "focused and myopic" has been the key to his success.
The 30-year-old Canadian-born actor plays the eponymous leading role in new science-fiction action film John Carter.
Taylor's career is flourishing currently, as he has several major blockbuster movies set to be released this summer.
The actor is convinced that remaining true to himself has engendered the triumphs he has experienced in his career.
"I love to stay out of it. I don't do the L.A. scene," Taylor told Men's Health magazine. "I stay focused and very myopic. I don't feel I need to prove myself or be in people's faces, especially in this town."
Taylor, who rose to fame on TV series Friday Night Lights, doesn't feel overwhelmed by his prosperity. The star relies on his inner strength to cope with his demanding schedule.
"I'm an all-or-nothing person," Taylor shared. "It's about pushing yourself and attempting to exceed those limits."
When Taylor feels pressure from his bustling career, the former hockey player turns to exercise to relieve stress.
"You never walk out of the gym and say, 'I shouldn't have gone.' " he declared.
Taylor currently resides in Austin, Texas.
His new film John Carter is currently in US cinemas.
Taylor will next be seen in major features Battleship and Savages. (C) Cover Media
