It is the most prestigious award for the film fraternity that kicks-off on Jan. 20 at NSCI Mumbai and yes, it is the 63rd edition of Filmfare Awards which will be hosted by none other than the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Parineeti Chopra. The nominations for the awards as per the category were revealed today and looks like there is a stiff competition for everyone who is nominated.
Firstly, even after a tensed relationship between India and Pakistan, the jury has picked a name from the rival nation. Yes, you heard it right. It is the Pakistani actress Saba Qamar who got nominated for Best Actor (Female) for the film 'Hindi Medium'. While there is an impactful name that isn't picked at all in the nomination and it took most of the Bollywood audiences by shock. It is the critically acclaimed actor Rajkummar Rao not at all nominated in the Best Actor (Male) category this year even after films like 'Trapped', 'Newton' and 'Bareilly Ki Barfi'.
