A. R. Rahman will begin his world tour in December with a concert in Dubai. 'The event is hugely expected by Indians living in Dubai and they are eager to watch the Mozart of Madras performing live,' say those behind the world tour.

Rahman will perform at the Dubai International Stadium on December 9. It may be recalled that the music maestro had earlier collaborated with Superheavy, a band that featured the likes of Mick Jagger, Dave Stewart, Joss Stone and Damian Marley.

However, for this concert, Amy Tinkham, the creative director behind live shows by Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, will create a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics.

In his fiefdom cinema industry, Rahman has completed four songs for Superstar Rajinikanth's Rana and a couple of songs for Gautham Vasudev Menon's trilingual. On his return from the world tour, he will join hands with mentor Mani Ratnam for a yet-to-be-titled movie.
