(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian says that her female intuition led to her filing for divorce.
The reality star spoke to Australian morning show Sunrise yesterday where she was asked how hard she worked to keep the 72-day marriage together and if she and her husband went to marriage counselling.
Kim responded that it was her gut feeling that made her end her relationship with basketball star Kris Humphries.
"I think when you know so deep in your heart that you just have to listen to your intuition and follow your heart there is no right and wrong thing to do," she said.
Kim has been under a firestorm of negative attention since announcing she was ending her marriage on Monday.
Media reports have claimed she made $18 million from her nuptials only to divorce just two months later.
Kim said that although she understood that her life was going to be dissected because she is a public figure, she maintained that a lot of reports about how much she spent on her wedding or made from it were false.
The 31-year-old is currently in Australia with sister Khlo and brother-in-law Lamar Odom promoting the family's new line of handbags.
Meanwhile her mother Kris Jenner has denied claims that Kim is filming all of her divorce drama for their reality show.
She insisted that Kim's heartbreak is not being captured by their ever present camera crew.
"We are not filming right now and didn't do all this for the show," the Kardashian matriarch said.
"At the moment I'm 100% mom, not manager. It's been hard to talk with Kim as she's in Australia with Khlo.
"Khlo is the Kim police and very protective about Kim. She could have cancelled but, once again, she didn't want to let her fans down."
Meanwhile, it has been noted that Kim has stopped following Kris on Twitter but the athlete, who is said to want to make things work, is still keeping tabs on his estranged wife and continues to see her tweets.
Kris added that Kim will not be profiting from the divorce and does not plan to speak about the break up for money.
"She will not be selling a divorce interview," Kris said. (C) Cover Media
