November 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actor Abhishek Bachchan will next be seen on the big screen in the Ashutosh Gowariker production Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. And though the actor will be seen in the shoes of freedom fighter Surya Sen in the upcoming film, he admits that he was unaware of the historical significance of the film the first time that Ashutosh Gowariker approached him with the subject. And Abhishek Bachchan says that he is really happy working on the project because he now wants that the story of the Chittagong Uprising, on which the film is based, be told to one and all.
In a statement to the media, Abhishek Bachchan confirms that he loves being a part of different kinds of films and therefore did not look back when Ashutosh Gowariker approached him with the subject of Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. The actor says that this film is an attempt on his and the entire crews part to pay a tribute to all the freedom fighters who laid their lives during the Chittagong Uprising in 1930s Bengal.
The Abhishek Bachchan starrer, which is based on a true story, also has Deepika Padukone in the role of Kalpana Dutta.
