November 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Golmaal 3, the movie that can tickle the funny bone of even the most die-hard serious people, has seen success in its box office collections in a matter of just three days from its release.

The film which was being seen as a light-hearted comedy and probably would just about to become a hit is fast proving that it does have the potential of becoming one of the blockbuster films of this year.

Reportedly, the movie has grossed in an astounding amount of Rs. 600 million in 3 days of its release in India. That in itself is quite an achievement. The net collections are said to be somewhere around Rs.400 million, and the overseas collections are being reported to be around Rs. 100 million.

The film had been given an opening in about 2000 screens worldwide and it is fast proving its mettle in the market as a popular choice amongst cine-goers.

The fact that it has elements of the contemporary along with the hint of retro romance, coupled with the rich water stretches of Goa and some very real characters in it with some fault or the other, the essence of reality seems to have made quite an impact on the audiences mind set.

The festive season has certainly proved to be lucky for the films makers, distributors and of course the entire cast and crew. Lets hope it gets to see more and more success in the weeks ahead.
