There were multiple rumours doing rounds on Vivek's sudden decision to play a negative role in a Tamil-Kannada bilingual titled 'Vazhipokkan'. The comedian has now finally broken his silence and cleared the air on the rumours doing rounds.

'Even while doing comedy roles, I have been always attempting something different. When the 'Vazhipokkan' offer came my way, I found it so interesting and strikingly different. So I accepted it without any hesitation,' he says.

In 'Vazhipokkan', Vivek will share the screen space with Mithun Tejaswi, who is also producing the film.  The actors were earlier seen together in 'Magane En Marumagane', a comedy caper produced by Raj Television Network.

'Vazhipokkan's shoot will start very soon in Mysore. I am currently learning Kannada on a fast track since I have decided to dub on my own for the movie,' says Vivek, who is hopeful of leaving a mark in Sandalwood too.'
