Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar who was last seen in 'Padman' has recently seen a Marathi film 'Chumbak' directed by Sandeep Modi that features lyricist Swanand Kirkire in the lead role. The film was aired at 2017 MAMI Mumbai film festival and looks like it connects with Akshay Kumar deep down to his heart. The actor went on expressing himself about presenting this film that he cannot keep out of his head.

The film is a story of friendship between a restaurant busboy and a villager young lad. Chumbak is a coming-of-age story of a 15-year-old Baalu and his chance encounter with a 45-year-old mentally challenged man, Prasanna played by Swanand Kirkire. In the one-minute video, Akshay Kumar says, "Every cinema has its own language. Few days ago, I saw such a Marathi movie, which made me laugh and cry a lot. It was such an honest film. I’ve watched so many films but I don’t know why, this particular movie, its characters have remained etched in my mind. No matter where I am, what I’m working on, I remember this film very often.  Even now, when I’m sitting in my car, I have been thinking about this film and thus making this video. That’s why I have decided to share this movie with you’ll. I’m pretty sure you’ll will love this movie. I’m bringing this film to you’ll on 27th July, I hope you guys enjoy it.
