'Soorma' trailer unwinds one of the greatest comebacks ever

11th June 2018

The makers of Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Soorma' released, the jaw-dropping trailer of the film and it tells the tale of the Indian professional field hockey player and an ex-captain of the Indian national team Sandeep Singh who holds the world record in drag flick world with a speed of 145 km/h still unbroken yet.

The man who contributed a lot in the field of hockey and yes we have a film as a tribute to the living legend and Diljit just does justice to the character. The film begins introducing Sandeep who starts playing Hockey for his love interest played by Taapsee and trains hard to become the greatest player India has ever witnessed. Hit by a gunshot and paralyzed for months and this tragedy is even stated in the trailer. Click here to watch Soorma official trailer.

Playing the lead character Diljit is abandoned by the whole world when he was shot. Haunting taunts and ignorance from society and loud cries are what he is left with. Angad Bedi as his brother who trains him to become a professional Hockey player plays a pivotal role. Staring at his wheelchair in the picturesque evergreen mountain seems like the scene of the day and making one of the best comebacks ever to international hockey in 2008. It was under his captaincy that India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and also qualified for the 2012 Olympics in London.

We just cannot wait until 13th July for the film to hit the silver screen.
