(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alexa Vega married her producer boyfriend Sean Covel yesterday.

The 22-year-old actress is best known for playing Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids movie trilogy, and she had been engaged to Sean, 34, for a year.

The marriage took place at the Homestake Opera House in Lead, South Dakota, and was attended by the couples close friends and family. Actress Camilla Belle, who plays Alexas characters sister in upcoming comedy From Prada to Nada, was due to be a bridesmaid, but had to pull out because she felt unwell.

Despite this minor setback, the day went very smoothly and Alexa was thrilled with her day. According to Life & Style, the pretty star wore an elegant Ian Stewart dress and was surrounded by gorgeous flowers such as mini calla lilies, cream-spray roses, and orchids as she walked down the aisle. One of the days highlights included the stunning diamond ring Sean gave her.

"Sean bought Alexa a beautiful pav setting with a 2-carat centre stone featuring 150 small diamonds around the setting and band," a source told the publication.

The couple had planned to then embark on a motorbike road trip for their honeymoon, although work commitments have meant the trip had to go on hold for now. (C) Cover Media
