(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alicia Silverstone has come out of hibernation after giving birth to her first child saying she did not leave the house for six weeks.

Alici, 34, and husband Christopher Jarecki welcomed their first child, son Bear Blu, on May 5.

The actress, who is also a staunch vegan and author of the book the Kind Diet, went into full nesting mode after the tot was born.

"I didn't leave the house at all for six weeks after his birth. I wanted to soak in every moment of his scrumptiousness," she said proudly.

Alicia says her husband of six years is a hands-on father who is relishing in his new role.

"We all take baths together sometimes," the new mother shared to Us Weekly.

The Clueless actress also dishes about the quirky name she has given her son. She revealed it was her mother-in-law that came up with the unusual name.

She said that Bear had "crazy amounts of hair when he came out" and that her bundle of joy is "really calm". (C) Cover Media
