(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amanda Seyfried says she doesnt need a man to make her happy.

The 25-year-old American actress is one of Hollywoods most eligible young ladies, and boasts an army of male fans across the globe due to her huge acting talent and beautiful looks.

Amanda was in a relationship with British hunk Dominic Cooper her co-star from Mamma Mia! until May last year. More recently she has been linked to actor Ryan Phillippe, having been spotted getting cosy with him at various Hollywood parties.

Despite her success with the opposite sex, Amanda believes females should focus on their careers rather than romance.

I think its important for a woman whos been in several relationships, and whos working a lot and is very career-driven, to be happy and content with being alone, she told the British edition of Marie Claire. Its a really empowering feeling to know that you can be happy without a significant other or without a man or a woman, whoever you prefer, to count on. Ive had a hard time with that.

Amanda also discussed the possibilities of a sequel to the 2008 blockbuster musical movie Mamma Mia!, admitting she doubts it will materialise. One of her main fears is that there would be little scope for an interesting script.

F**k no! Thats never going to happen. Like, what would they do? What would they write about? How would they get all the actors back? she mused.

Since the success of Mamma Mia!, Amanda has gone on to appear in a range of different genres. She played a prostitute in 2009 erotic thriller Chloe, and is the star of upcoming dark fantasy Red Riding Hood. The actress loves to challenge herself by taking on different types of characters.

Im an actor, Im not a socialite. Im playing a character, Im playing versions of myself. For me, its important to be a chameleon, she asserted. (C) Cover Media
