(Cover) - EN Star Style - Amanda Seyfried has recalled being desperate for bronzed skin as a youngster.
The 25-year-old American actress is known for her roles in films such as Mamma Mia!, Chloe, and Letters to Juliet.
The blonde beautys ethereal features and porcelain skin make her one of Hollywoods most beautiful leading ladies, although she insists she used to battle against her fair skin. She also disliked her wavy locks but found straightening them tiresome, and was eager to have braces on her teeth.
I wanted braces, stick-straight hair and a tan. But I wouldnt go to the tanning booth and I had trouble getting up early enough to straighten my hair. It would take forever so my arms would hurt, she lamented in the British edition of Marie Claire.
Amanda admits she never felt attractive as a young girl, and struggled with self-esteem issues. The unusual looking star disliked standing out from the crowd, and longed to be like her peers.
I hung out with people that didnt do drugs and didnt have sex. I was an insecure young girl and I didnt think I was pretty. I didnt like my body. I really looked in the mirror and thought I was ugly because I didnt look like a normal girl, she added. (C) Cover Media
