Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight has revealed that his newly engaged daughter hasn't started wedding planning yet.

The 73-year-old actor is enjoying being close to Angelina again after years of estrangement.

But he told Us Weekly that the Oscar winner and her fianc Brad Pitt are just enjoying the excitement of the proposal for now.

"It was very nice I thought," he said of the happy news. "If they're going to have a wedding it's wonderful. Of course, they're the parents of six kids. They've been that way for a while."

"They haven't given me any insight into [the wedding]. I can't really trust what people say and so I have to get it from Angie.

"I've seen her recently and we've had a great time. She's one of those people that can do many things at once and has many passions.

Jon added that the busy star is "lovely with her children."

"I always get a great deal of joy when I'm with she and her children," he added. "I see the way she takes care of six children at the same time and it's a lot of fun. She's a lot of fun with them."
