Angelina Jolie wants to 'cross Sahara'

30th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Angelina Jolie has revealed her dream of crossing the Sahara desert.

The actress, who has visited many African and Middle Eastern countries in her role as a Unicef goodwill embassador, is fascinated by the adventurous trip and has already done some research.

But the mother-of-six is only too aware that it would be difficult to take her extensive brood of children along on the intense journey.

"It takes 28 days . . . it would have to be on a camel. I wonder if I could do it in pieces and station the kids along the way," she told the Financial Times.

Angelina, who adopted three children from foreign countries with partner Brad Pitt, also explained how they make sure each child remains connected to their birth place.

The star revealed that each child has a flag from their country over their bed and that the family takes it in turns to visit each of their natives.

"They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride," Angelina said. "We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due. [Zahara] wants to get back to Africa, and Shiloh, too. So everyone takes their turns in their country." (C) Cover Media
