Julie Bowen "has to look away" when she sees Angelina Jolie.

The Modern Family comedienne views Angelina as somewhat superhuman.

Julie is in awe of all that the superstar actress and United Nations ambassador represents.

"If I see Angelina Jolie, I have to look away," she told Health magazine.

"I just feel like maybe she's not real. She's like a unicorn. It's like, There's Angelina Jolie. We're not going to seriously stand here and pretend it's not like seeing a yeti, right?' "

Since joining Modern Family in 2009 Julie has been nominated for three Emmy Awards for her work on the series.

Unfortunately fame doesn't provide her with many benefits.

"I once called a restaurant, and they were like, Sorry the wait list is three months. What's your name?' I said, Julie Bowen.' They were like, Ah! Julie Bowen from TV? And I said, Yes, can I get a table?' And they were like, No!' " she joked.

Julie and her Modern Family castmate Ty Burrell prefer to lead simple lives.

"He and I are, how shall I say, thrifty people who cringe at the world thinking we're, like, fancy people," Julie shared.
