Anjali, from the movie Angadi Theru has denied rumours that she has a romantic affair with actor Jai, her co-star in Engeyum Eppodhum.

In a statement, she said, "I have just started my career in Tamil and am getting some interesting roles. At such a juncture, there are reports appearing in a section of the press that I am in love with an actor, with whom I acted in a film. It is disturbing. I won't be acting with him again."

Anjali further said, "There is not even an iota of truth in such reports and I assure that my attention is only on choosing good films and challenging roles."

Meanwhile, Anjali has been assigned to do a film with Vikram next. She is shooting with Vimal for Masala Cafe. She will now play Vikram's ladylove in Karikalan, a period flick.

"Impressed with my performance in Engeyum Eppodhum, director Kannan thought I would fit the bill for a bold girl in his film (Karikalan). After doing a photoshoot and a screen test, he decided to rope me in. I have finished trying out the costumes. My look for the film has been finalized too. We will begin shooting from the first week of December in Hyderabad."
