The name of the character Anjali playing in 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram', a Karan starrer film, is Lourdu Mary. "Since it is inspired by a woman who is still alive, I have given my best to the role," says the actress.

The 'Katradhu Thamizh' and 'Angadi Theru' girl, who was last seen in 'Thoonga Nagaram', adds: "When director Vadivudayan told me that the film was inspired by a real life story and my character is based on a woman who lives in Kanyakumari, I was thrilled."

She adds: "I expressed my desire to meet her, but was denied permission by the director. Later, he trained me with the Kanyakumari dialect and the body language he expects from me. I guess I acquired it fast. I am now eagerly looking forward for the release of the film."

Besided 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram', which is the comeback movie of Karan, Anjali is also there in 'Karungali', which is director Kalanjiam's heroic venture. She is also playing an important role in 'Mankatha', the 50th film of Ajith.
