Anil Kumar, the dialogue writer of 'Kempegowda' can't believe his luck. He is now directing 'Rani Maharani' Malashree in 'Shakti', for the prestigious Ramu Enterprises. Incidentally, this is Malashree's 8th film for husband Ramu's banner and the 32nd by the banner.
Impressed with Anil Kumar's one line story, Ramu got him to complete it and then named the film 'Shakti'. Malashree says she has not performed such a challenging role before as there is scope, both for muscles and the brain, to counter anti-social elements and corrupt politicians. Anil agreed, saying that corruption in politics was his focus. He is using the slogan of Subash Chandra Bose "You give me blood, I will give you freedom".
Shooting in a single schedule of 70 days in Mandya, Maddur, Mysore, Hyderabad and Bangalore, the film has five action sequences for Malashree under the direction of Thriller Manju, Ravi Verma and Ram Lakshman.
Producer Ramu is hoping that 'Shakti' will turn into another 'Mudhalvan' or 'Indian'. Only time and the audience will tell.
