(Cover) - EN Showbiz - AnnaLynne McCord has revealed her father wanted her to become a nun.

The 23-year-old actress is best known for her role as Naomi Clark in the US television series 90210, and has also hit the headlines for romancing hunky Twilight actor Kellan Lutz.

AnnaLynne and Kellan have been happily dating for over a year, although the star says her love life hasnt always been so successful.

As a teenager, the pretty actress was banned from having a boyfriend because her father thought she should opt for a life of celibacy and devotion to God.

I wasnt allowed to look at boys, recalled AnnaLynne in an interview with the American edition of OK! magazine.

My dad wanted me to be a nun. He thought the whole thing where I didnt get married sounded good. He didnt know the whole concept.

Once AnnaLynne had left the family home she admits she did start taking an interest in the opposite sex, although her first experience kissing a boy was rather cringe-worthy.

AnnaLynne says she ended up requesting a smooch from a boy she was hanging out with around the house, although luckily he willingly obliged.

The first time I made out was after I moved out of my house and I was living in Miami, she blushed. There was no music. I was just like hey, would you want to make out with me? and hes like yeah. I was like cool. (C) Cover Media
