Anne Hathaway: I couldnt let go of movie role

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Anne Hathaway has revealed she had very confused, hysterical nights while making Love and Other Drugs.

The 28-year-old actress portrays Maggie, a young woman suffering from the early symptoms of Parkinsons disease in the romantic drama, directed by Edward Zwick and also starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

Anne gives a touching performance in the film, although she admits because the character was so different to anyone shed portrayed before, she really struggled as an actress.

For such intense emotions I was afraid of a lot, which normally I can talk through, she told Cover Media.

I can work with people I trust - but I was also playing a character who was trying to avoid feeling fear so my comfort with my fear or with hers... led to some very confused, hysterical nights and the scenes were difficult to film.

The talented actress became attached to Maggie, so much so that she found it difficult to step out of character. Because Maggie had traits so different to Annes personality, she worried that by leaving the role behind at night she would struggle to get back into character.

I was afraid to let her go at the end of the day because I thought, Oh god what if shes not there in the morning? confessed Anne.

Im still learning a lot about how to do my job on camera and off, and this job really confused me in a lot of ways. I didnt know how not to take her home with me. (C) Cover Media
