Vishal Bharadwaj’s laughter riot flick ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mann Dola’ will see Anushka playing a psycho chick in the film.

Bollywood’s latest muse Anushka Sharma is all geared up to play a psycho chick in Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming flick ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mann Dola’ which she insists is a role that is drastically and dramatically different from whatever she has done so far. Anushka who has been busy with the ongoing promotional activities of her latest film ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ says that as soon as the promotional activities are over, she will be moving to Haryana to shoot the comedy flick.

Says Anushka, “We’ll be shooting around places like Rohtak but the film itself is not a rustic rom-com as is being speculated. It’s pretty urban and is a riot. It’ll have the audience clapping their hands and falling off their chairs laughing. It’s one of the funniest scripts I’ve read and I have never laughed so much.” The actress went to add that no one can even imagine how Imran and her character will look and be portrayed in the film.

Anushka also revealed that after Band Baaja Baraat (2010) she had made a wish-list of 10 directors she wanted to work with, one of them being Vishal Bharadwaj and she never expected to get lucky so soon.

Incidentally, Ajay Devgn was the original choice to play the lead actor in the film but due to his commitments to his home production movie ‘Son of Sardar’, Ajay had to quit the film and Imran bagged the lead role.

While Anushka claims the movie to be “different”, it would be interesting to see the new pairing Anushka and Imran on screen.
