A.R. Rahman loses BAFTA
14th February 2011
It's turning out to be relentless disappointments for the fans of A.R. Rahman as the Madras Mozart is losing out honors. Before a couple of years, he managed to win Double Dhamaka in BAFTA, Golden Globe, Oscars and many more awards for his astounding music in 'Slumdog Millionaire'. But this time, Danny Boyle's '127 Hours' seems to have not got the right honors for the music director.
He lost the Golden Globe Awards to 'Social Network' and now 'BAFTA' to King's Speech. Alexandre Desplat for The King's Speech received the honor recently. The film also went ahead winning honors for Colin Firth for 'Best Actor' while Natalie Portman won 'Best Actress Award' for Black Swan.
With just couple of weeks left for the Oscars, A.R. Rahman himself has assured that he is not gonna win the award, but promises to entertain his fans with his performance.
