Ashley Tisdale has reportedly split from her boyfriend Scott Speer.

The former High School Musical star had been dating Scott for nearly two years.

Ashley has yet to comment on the break-up.

"They had been on and off for a while. They tried to work it out but realised their relationship ran its course," a source told Us Weekly.

The 26-year-old met her music director boyfriend in spring 2009, just one month after breaking up with her previous boyfriend Jared Murillo.

Scott directed Ashley in her music videos for It's Alright It's OK and Crank It Up.

The 29-year-old also has also worked with stars including Jordin Sparks, David Archuleta, Paris Hilton and Blake Shelton.

Ashley previously said that she is more interested in personality than looks when it comes to dating.

"In high school, it was all about popularity, being with the boyfriend and all the girls thinking he's cute," she told Seventeen magazine last year.

"I am more into a guy's personality. I like someone I can have fun with and who can be more laid-back than I am, because it calms me down."
