Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are continuing to work on their marriage and have chosen an unusual place to cocoon themselves.

The Hollywood couple have been hit by claims that the Two and a Half Men star cheated on Demi on their sixth wedding anniversary with 22-year-old Sara Leal.

And the twosome reportedly went on vacation last weekend to spend some quality time together and chose the holiday home of Demi's ex-husband's for the mini-break.

Bruce Willis has a house in Turks and Caicos and the troubled pair went to the idyllic hotspot to recoup after Ashton got himself into some more trouble recently.

"They had to get away," a source told Us Weekly. "Ashton's tweeting about [Penn State] was the last straw."

Ashton inadvertently leapt to the defence of exiled football coach Joe Paterno who was fired amidst a child-abuse sex scandal at the university.

The actor later apologised for his Twitter message and said he was passing management of his account to his team.

Ashton, 33, and Demi, 49, apparently spent time assessing the state of their marriage and what they have been through over the last few months.

"Things have been very strained," the insider added. "[But] they're trying to figure things out."
