Actress Asin, who doesn't have a Twitter account, recently got a shock when she discovered that an impostor had made an account in her name on the social micro-blogging site and is interacting with her fellow actors including Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh.
 
A source close to the actress said, "This confusion arose when Asin was misquoted in an interview and her fans started following the fake profile, thinking that it was a genuine profile. Asin was quite upset about the fact that this has inconvenienced her fellow actors."

Riteish Deskmukh even took to Twitter to clarify the news. "Asin is not on twitter - so all accounts claiming to be her are fake. #JustFYI," he wrote.

Clarifying the issue Asin said, "I am not on any social networking site and will make a formal announcement whenever I do decide to join one. Meanwhile, I request my fans to not encourage these random fake accounts and handles."
