(Cover) - EN Star Style - Avril Lavigne describes her stage persona as "gothic chic".

The 26-year-old Canadian singer is famed for her mix of edgy punk and girly glam, and regularly wows with her rock aesthetic.

Avril tries to tone down her "punk" look while performing. The stunning star has detailed what cosmetics she uses to achieve her sultrier look.

"On stage, I am more gothic chic, I wear grey smoky eyes," she explained. "It's less punk than the black shade, and I always highlight my lashes with mascara. It helps the smoky eye be more feminine. On my lips, I wear a hint of light pink gloss."

Avril credits sport with curing her hyperactivity. The songstress says that regular exercise and a healthy diet have helped give her a sense of calm.

"I compensate with sport. In Los Angeles, where I live, I do long ride in rollers, I run through Griffith Park, I also swim a lot," she told Madame Figaro. "When I am touring, I enjoy gym facilities in hotels." (C) Cover Media
